Sheldon Clark just left the court.
These two teams split in the regular season with each winning on their home court. Pike Central earned a 66-60 win last month, but the Lady Cards played without Carla Booth.
SC looked confident. Booth, just a junior, is one of the most explosive players east of Lexington. SC’s hopes squarely lies on the shoulders of Booth.
As she goes, so goes SC.
Pike Central returns four players from the state runner-up team in 2006-07. At this point in the year, experience is vital. How teams react to the atmosphere, the longer court and the depth perception behind the rims is everything.
