Tug Valley routs Poca, returns to state tourney

NAUGATUCK, W.Va. – Tug Valley dominated every phase of the game in defeating Poca and punching its ticket back to the state tournament next week in Charleston.
The Panthers (16-5) landed four players in double-figure scoring en route to a 67-39 win over the Dots before a packed house on March 11.
Tug Valley will play next Wednesday against an opponent to be named later today.
Channing Preece and Austin Vance led the way with 15 points each, while Michael Evans and Nathan Brewer chipped in 10 each.
Poca was led by Jason Cuffee’s game-high 27 points.
