Hospital Education

Responsible for "general orientation" of all new employees, as well as the departmental specific orientation of nursing personnel.

Information Systems

The Information Systems department coordinates information technology throughout the hospital. this includes responsibility for PCs, terminals, printers and servers. This department also maintains data communications to all Hospital sites, as well as the internet connections. The IS Department maintains the Hospital's intranet. The department serves as a resource to assist other departments in choosing and implementing information systems. The IS department trains physicians and their staff on information technology available to them.

The Communications department is a subunit of the Information Systems department and maintains the telephone system, beeper system and any changes in telephone service.

Lifestyle Weight Management Center - HMR Program

Medically supervised weight loss program that teaches skills necessary to make healthy lifestyle choices.

Marketing and Public Relations

The Marketing/Public Relations Department is responsible for publishing the hospital's weekly newspaper, Medical Leader, which began circulating in June 1999, in an effort to keep the public aware and informed of hospital and community news.  To contact the Medical Leader or to place an ad, please call (606) 218-4946.

The department is also responsible for promoting the hospital and its services through various advertising mediums.  Public Relations also coordinates hospital events, both internal and external.

Organizational Compliance

Organizational Compliance addresses the ongoing compliance issues related to federal and state regulations, professional organizations and standards of practice as well as various accreditation requirements. Areas of focus include internal audit, regulatory & accreditation compliance, and safety & risk management.

Security

The Division of Security works to provide a safe environment for patients and employees while working closely with local law enforcement agencies. They also provide valet parking and shuttle services.
