Residency Programs Curricula

There are 4 programs of study available to medical school graduates. A Lecture schedule and details for each program are indicated below.

Lectures

  • morning report (Mon/Wed/Fri)
  • cancer conference (monthly)
  • journal club (monthly)
  • morbidity & mortality (monthly)
  • grand rounds (bi-weekly)
  • teleconferencing (weekly)
  • OMT lectures (weekly)


Internship Curriculum

Traditional Rotating Internship

Requirements

  • Must graduate from an Osteopathic Medical School
  • Must pass COMLEX I & II

Rotations

  • 2 months surgery
  • 1 month OB/GYN
  • 1 month emergency medicine
  • 1 month pediatrics/nursery
  • 3 months internal medicine
  • 1 month family practice
  • 1 month ICU
  • 2 months electives
  • 1/2 day per week FP continuity clinic


Residency Curricula

Family Practice Residency

Requirements

  • Must complete an AOA approved internship
  • FP Inpatient Service
  • FP continuity clinic for 1.5 days per week

Rotations

  • 6 months general internal medicine
  • 2 months surgery
  • 4 months OB/GYN
  • 3 months pediatrics
  • 1 month family practice
  • 6 months electives
  • 2 months emergency medicine



Family Practice/ Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Integrated Residency

Requirements

  • Family Practice Inpatient Service
  • NMM Inpatient Service
  • NMM Continuity Clinic
  • Weekly OMT didactic sections in addition to daily medical lectures
  • Teaching Opportunities
  • Must complete one cranial course during residency

Rotations
  • 3 months surgery
  • 1 month cardiology
  • 1 month dermatology
  • 2 months emergency medicine
  • 1 month family practice
  • 2 months gynecology
  • 4 months internal medicine
  • 1 month orthopedics
  • 3 months pediatrics
    • 1 month pulmonology
    • 1 month rehabilitation medicine
    • 1 month radiology
    • 5 months electives
    • 2 months pediatric OMM
    • 2 months OB/GYN OMM
    • 2 months IM OMM
    • 2 months surgery OMM
    • 2 months OMM electives


    "Plus-One" Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM)/OMT Residency

     Requirements

    • Must Complete an AOA approved residency training program
    • NMM Inpatient Service
    • NMM Continuity Clinic
    • Weekly OMT didactic sections in addition to daily medical lectures
    • Teaching Opportunities
    • Must complete one cranial course during residency

    Rotations

    • 1 month rehabilitation medicine
    • 1 month radiology
    • 2 months Pediatric OMM
    • 2 months OB/GYN OMM
    • 2 months IM OMM
    • 2 months surgery OMM
    • 2 months OMM electives
