It's Ideal for kids

Today nearly every young child undergoing an MRI exam is fully anesthetized so that they don't move during the scan. This requires extra medical staff; it’s costly; and there are always risks associated with anesthesia. In many cases, small children and toddlers can be held in their mother's lap during the scan while they watch television. The diagnosis can easily be made, and it can be done without any anesthetics.

Easily accommodates large patients

Because of the open environment, PMC's Stand-Up™ MRI can accommodate larger patients that could never have received the befits of MRI because the equipment simply would not fit the patient. It does now, and larger patients can receive their MRI's without the indignity and anxiety of worrying about "fitting into the machine".
