Wildcats start 2-0; Paintsville tops PHS

STONECREST — Shelby Valley made the most of four hits and beat Prestonsburg, 7-4, at StoneCrest Sports Complex on March 20.

Logan Billiter doubled, scored and knocked in one run as the Wildcats moved to 2-0. Hunter Mullins and Jackson Wierwille each scored and drove in one run apiece. Adam Johnson singled and scored while Drew Justice scored a pair of runs.

Lincoln Billiter was the winning pitcher.

Blake Sizemore collected three hits for the Blackcats (0-1). He scored twice. Cameron Blackburn and Andrew Hale each singled and scored.

Ben Welch was the losing pitcher.

Ben Daniels had two hits, scored one time and drove in three runs while Seth Williams added three hits and knocked in one run. Jake Hyden singled, scored and batted in one.

Nate Brown led the Panthers with two hits, including a double. He scored twice and drove in one run. Tanner Hamilton scored a pair of runs.

Ryan Moore was the winning pitcher in relief while Christian Tackett suffered the loss.

Keegan Bentley added three hits, scored a pair of runs and knocked in three. Garrett Clevenger doubled, scored and batted in two runs while Dylan New had two hits, including a double, scored and added an RBI.
